Job Description

The Behavioral Science Division in South Florida Bible College & Theological Seminary’s (SFBC&TS) College of Arts & Sciences is seeking a qualified candidate to join our faculty as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Counseling/Psychology. The teaching focus will be on behavioral science theories and practices. This position will be located at SFBC&TS’s Deerfield Beach, FL campus and will start in January of 2026. The applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S.

South Florida Bible College & Theological Seminary is an institution of higher learning where the Bible is central in preparing men and women for ministry to serve Christ and His Church through Biblical thought and Christian life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach graduate-level courses including (but not limited to):
    • Research and Program Evaluation
    • Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents
    • Career Development in Counseling
    • Group Theories and Practices
    • Human Growth and Development
    • Diagnosis and Treatment of Psychopathology
    • Individual Evaluation and Assessment
    • Psychotherapy and Substance Abuse
    • Theoretical Foundations of Mental Health Counseling
    • Practicum and Internship courses

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a combination of online and on-campus courses and to develop, review, and update curriculum. Faculty at SFBC&TS are expected to attend all required meetings and advise a select number of students.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience at the graduate level. Demonstrated knowledge of research methodology and its application in counseling practice.

Essential Qualifications:
Earned Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related discipline . Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and instructional technologies.
