Director of Housekeeping

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic hospitality environment, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met
  • Develop and implement cleaning procedures, policies, and schedules to optimize efficiency and quality
  • Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, managing procurement and budget adherence
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules and address guest requests promptly
  • Manage staff performance, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations
  • Implement sustainability initiatives and environmentally friendly cleaning practices
  • Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping and resolve issues promptly and professionally

Skills And Qualifications

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality standards
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or management certifications are a plus
