Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for candidates who possess a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Cyber Security. Additionally, we require a minimum of 1+ years of experience in an IT-related field. Due to the nature of this position, successful applicants must reside within 45 miles of our office location, as it involves on-call scheduling and the necessity for prompt on-site presence.

Responsibilities:

• As an IT SOC Analyst, I am responsible for the daily operations of our security solutions (SIEM, SOAR) and the identification, investigation, and resolution of security incidents detected by these systems. My tasks include:
• Analyzing potential threats from various log sources to determine if events are false positives or actual security threats.
• Assessing the severity of potential security threats and deciding whether to initiate Incident Response.
• Supporting Incident Response by adhering to the PICERL model: Preparation, Identification, Containment, Eradication, Recovery, & Lessons Learned.
• Evaluating potential impacts to determine if escalation and reporting procedures are necessary.
• Documenting and reporting shift activities in detail for review by the following shifts and leadership.
• Operating and escalating situations according to established protocols, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Contributing to the development and enhancement of enterprise security documents, policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures as needed.

Preferred qualifications include having industry certifications such as GCIH, GMON, or similar. I am seeking individuals with a general understanding of IPS/IDS, packet/traffic analysis, and related tools, as well as knowledge of information security principles and practices, including but not limited to vulnerability scanning, security information and event management systems, next-generation firewalls, network intrusion, host-based security, data loss prevention, malware prevention, digital forensics, and application penetration testing.

Experience with TCP/IP, Microsoft operating systems, and networks is essential. While basic familiarity with programming languages such as T-SQL (MySQL/MSSQL), PHP, Python, Perl, JavaScript, C#, and HTML is preferred, it is not required. Similarly, basic experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Kali Linux, Debian), iOS, Android OS, and macOS is recommended but not mandatory.
