Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 9 Weeks
Hours: 37.5 hours/week | 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM
Pay Rate: $60 – $70/hr
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to operate and prepare specialized equipment for magnetic resonance imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will apply technical judgment to obtain high-quality diagnostic studies while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:
Perform MRI imaging procedures according to established protocols.
Position patients and coils for optimal imaging results.
Educate patients about the imaging process and provide specific instructions.
Review all patient safety questionnaires prior to MRI procedures.
Ensure all MRI images are accurately labeled and transmitted to PACS.
Complete studies promptly in the Radiology Information System (IDX).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of radiology rooms and equipment.
Manage patient-related documents and scanning.
Maintain necessary supplies and accessories for MRI procedures.
Accurately record patient tracking information and schedule exams as required.
Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Assist physicians directly as needed.
Call in-patients as required.
Perform clerical duties in the absence of support personnel.
Adhere strictly to safety and infection control protocols.
Attend professional development meetings and in-services.
Maintain licensure in good standing and comply with applicable regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, physical sciences, and MRI physics.
Excellent technical skills in MRI imaging and patient care.
NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology.
ARRT MRI Registry certification.
BCLS Certification.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Two (2) years of MRI experience.
Education:
Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
