Job Description

Position Title: MRI Technologist

Location: New York, NY

Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Schedule: 2x8-Hour Shifts per Week (Saturday & Sunday, 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM)

Hours per Week: 16

Pay Range: $50 – $62 per hour

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking MRI Technologist for an exciting job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures following established departmental protocols.

  • Position patients and MRI coils to ensure optimal image quality.

  • Educate patients on the procedure, safety measures, and expectations.

  • Review safety questionnaires and verify patient readiness before scanning.

  • Evaluate and label images for quality; promptly upload to PACS.

  • Maintain accurate patient information in the Radiology Information System (IDX).

  • Ensure MRI suite cleanliness and proper equipment maintenance.

  • Monitor and restock supplies as needed.

  • Report equipment issues or safety concerns immediately.

  • Support radiologists and other healthcare professionals as required.

  • Adhere to MRI safety and infection control standards.

  • Maintain active licensure and certifications; participate in continuing education.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI physics.

  • Proficient in operating MRI scanners and related imaging systems.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.

Education

  • Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-accredited program in Radiologic Technology.

Licenses & Certifications

  • New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology (Required)

  • A.R.R.T. MRI Certification (Required)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required)
