R&D Mechanical Engineering Intern Program Offering

Mechanical – Research & Development(R&D) Engineering Intern:

  • Completing an assigned engineering project during the term of the internship
  • Contributing to several ongoing R&D engineering projects
  • Experience with and exposure to supporting the Project Management Life Cycle, including:
    • Preparation of project specifications and requirements
    • Project schedule coordination and utilization of Project Management tools
    • Project execution, project closing activities, and sustainability initiatives
  • Valuable insight into large-scale manufacturing facilities, equipment, and safe working practices
  • 3D Modeling or Simulation Modeling – to predict process/material interactions
  • Exposure to Sorting, conveying, combustion, sanding, fluid, and pneumatic transfer systems

Required Qualifications

  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) at an ABET accredited program AND be a maximum of 24 months away from graduation
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (cumulative, and within major)
