Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Behavioral Health
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Shift: Nights, 3×12 hours (19:00–07:30)
Schedule: Six shifts per two-week pay period; every other weekend and select holidays required
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview: A pediatric biobehavioral health unit is seeking experienced night-shift Registered Nurses. The ideal candidate will have strong behavioral health expertise and the ability to work within a high-acuity hospital environment. This role requires flexibility, critical-thinking skills, and a commitment to providing safe, patient-centered care in a dynamic pediatric setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients within a biobehavioral health setting
Float to all pediatric locations within the facility as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the facility’s EMR
Adhere to facility policies, including weekend and holiday scheduling expectations
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse license
Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric behavioral health
Experience working in a Level I or Level II trauma center or a similarly sized acute-care hospital
Ability and willingness to float within pediatric departments
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Travelers will be considered only if they have experience in facilities of equal or larger size/acuity
