Position Title: Registered Nurse – Psych
Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Hours: 36 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Cooperstown, NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health nursing care to patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to de-escalate crisis situations, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
Participate in crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and behavioral management.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Minimum 2+ years of recent psychiatric nursing experience required.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact as applicable).
COVID-19 vaccination card required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA certified required.
