Job Description

As a Security Consultant, you will engage with clients to apply our software security improvement methodologies. You will assist in executing and delivering project milestones that help clients learn, understand, and implement secure software development practices. Typically, you will work on specific tasks within one project and develop skills across multiple security practices. Continuous learning and technical skill enhancement are essential parts of the role.

While some work will be performed at our headquarters, frequent on-site visits are required to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities in clients' systems. Our consultants aim to become trusted advisors, building strong relationships that lead to ongoing assignments.

  • Source Code Analysis
  • Software Penetration Testing
  • Architecture Security Analysis
  • Secure Software Design and Architecture
  • Network Security Analysis
  • Database Security Analysis

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of software security weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and secure code review is a plus
  • Understanding of software attack and exploitation techniques is a plus
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language and framework is a plus
  • Strong client interfacing, consulting, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and translate concepts into action

Team-Oriented Skills:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and follow project lead directions

Project Management:

  • Awareness of the full project management lifecycle including planning, execution, and closure

Communication:

  • Excellent written skills for documentation, proposals, white papers, and case studies
  • Clear verbal communication skills for presentations and training at all management levels
  • Persuasive communication abilities

Demeanor:

  • Enthusiasm, professionalism, interpersonal skills, and entrepreneurial drive
  • Willingness to travel

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent; MS preferred
  • Experience with C/C++, .NET, Java, multiple OS, and RDBMS
  • Additional experience in secure code review, reverse engineering, web application penetration testing, or Certification and Accreditation is advantageous
