About the Role Dahl Consulting is partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer to hire a Technical Writer. This role is essential in supporting the engineering team by developing clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation and training materials for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems used in the testing and production of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
Key Responsibilities - Develop comprehensive Operation and Maintenance Manuals for ATE testers, including:
- Safety guidelines
- System operation procedures
- Maintenance instructions and spare parts lists
- Calibration and adjustment processes
- Collaborate with engineers to create training materials covering:
- System operation and component overview
- Troubleshooting known and potential issues
- Software module operation, sequence, and code highlights
- Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and quality standards for medical device manufacturing
- Work closely with engineering teams throughout design and manufacturing phases to gather accurate technical information
- Manage documentation timelines and deliverables
Qualifications
Required: - Proven experience as a Technical Writer in engineering or medical device environments
- Strong understanding of technical documentation standards and best practices
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred: - Familiarity with automated test equipment (ATE) and PCBAs
- Experience working in regulated industries such as medical devices
